Roman Style Carved Shell Cameo Brooch

Please note that this beautiful brooch has some damage.
An oval decorative frame which I believe might have been rolled gold, but is now looking more brassy than gold. 
The cameo is a person wearing an elaborate feather headdress. 
The relief of the cameo is in very good condition but does have age related marks. 
The damage is to the background at the bottom - there is slim piece missing. 
Due to the curve of the design, the missing part is not very noticeable but may be more noticeable depending on the clothing it is worn on. 
C clasp pin with an attached safety chain. 
Measures approx 2 x 1.75 inches.
